RARE Grande Figurine Antique Goebel tendance Wilhelmsfeld Hawk

This is an old Goebel figurine of a hawk tendance with various shades of brown standing with his talons grabbing onto the base. There are shades of silver around his eyes and on his beak giving the animal great presence when matched with the high gloss of the porcelain. It is a very striking piece with great detail work from the birds feathers to the eyes. The name Andersen is incised on the side of the base. On the bottom of the piece is the incised model number CV 165/4 with the letters CV designating Copenhagener Vogel, or Copenhagen birds. There is also an incised Ducal Crown on the bottom along with a stamped Wilhelmsfeld. The name Wilhelmsfeld was something Goebel put on its early pieces to indicate top-of-the-line products. The figurine is approximately 10 x 10" and is excellent condition. This very early and old Goebel figurine will make a beautiful addition to someones collection.
