This is a unique mouth-blown Butterfly III studio glass vase, blown by Vic Bamforth, and dating from 2008. Vic is currently based in Stourbridge and his work is featured at the Corning Museum of Glass and elsewhere. There is a polished out pontil mark to the underside of the base.

The vase is in excellent condition for its age. This means, of course, that it shows some wear and tear to the base and elsewhere commensurate with some years of use. There is a polished out pontil mark to the underside of the base.

The vase is approximately ovoid in shape and is blown in clear glass which encases a stylised butterfly in yellow, red, green and white. The rim is inverted. The vase measures 10.5 cm (4.2 inches) across at its widest point and is 15.5 cm (6.2 inches) in height. It ends in a plain base. There are no chips, cracks, significant scratches, or any other obvious signs of restoration. The base bears the legend "Vic Bamforth 2008 1/1 BUTTERFLY III" to the edge.

The vase weighs in at 2.245 kg. (~ 5 lb.).
