A Peoples Edition copy of the fantastical works of Alices Adventures in Wonderland and Through The Looking Glass and What Alice Found There by Lewis Carroll, bound within one volume.
With ninety-two illustrations across the two by John Tenniel throughout the text. Alices Adventures in Wonderland is dated 1902 and Through The Looking Glass and What Alice Found There is also dated 1902. Both have frontispieces.
With newspaper clippings tipped into the front of the volume in response to Alice in Wonderland.
With publisher adverts to the rear.
CONDITION
In the publishers original cloth binding. Externally, smart with some fading to the spine and bumping to the head and tail of the spine. With newspaper clippings tipped to the front and pasted to the front pastedown, a previous owner inscription to the front free endpaper. Rear hinge starting but remains firm. Internally, generally firmly bound with generally bright and clean pages with some scattered spots mainly concentrated to the first and last few pages.
